Definitely. Letting go can be extremely difficult, but there’s only so much you can do and so much time, energy, and attention you can devote to a person before it’s made clear that you have to start focusing on the quality of your own path…even if that means they’re not supposed to walk with you on it.

Sometimes you're so used to loving a person, it's out of habit, and you don't realize that. You have to decide to step away, and focus on yourself, and it eventually gets easier.

Or just block them and take a piss on their name

Or make them a distant memory and move on so you can experience something nice with somebody worth it.

Sounds good on paper, but it’s usually more complicated than that.

Accept was is, without a doubt. I prefer to close fully down, and distance won't be of essence thereafter, eventually.
