I finally understand the subs vs. dubs debate [I Like Anime]

I never really got into anime, so I had no idea, then I started watching the subtitle versions and... the majority just fit better. Then I heard about a series called Dragon Maid (?) and I thought, "Hey, that looks fun, maybe I'll buy it." Apparently the dub version changed a lot of dialogue to a bunch of sjw nonsense. Why? Why? Why ruin something? Luckily I know a guy who definitely totally didn't pirate anything because that's illegal and he would never violate the law, but he has a digital copy. It's a cute series.

@BlueVeins There are good and bad of both, I'm not going to be a purist. But from what I've watched the japanese voices fit better most of the time (which makes sense).

@pattycakechamp I've watched Death Note, Assassination Classroom, Attack on Titan, School-Live!, One Punch Man, and Angel Beats! and for those ones, I liked the dubs so do whatever you want with that info I guess. I've never really watched the subs so I don't know how much better the subs might sound. But I'll take your word, & do with that information what you will lol.

Idk
I like hearing them talk in Japanese as I’m trying to learn it

But sometimes I also like the dubs if the quality of the voice acting is good
I like to listen to both if I csn

@Rickg I hear the Baccano dub is phenomenal.

@JustADnDNerd I've heard a lot about funimation changing stuff or casting the wrong actors for voices. I guess that's why a lot of people are saying "fuck funimation" online.

@pattycakechamp Among other things, yes.
