How many of you are on a Hedonic treadmill?

Just to clear up the massive amount of confusion: The hedonic treadmill, also known as hedonic adaptation, is the observed tendency of humans to quickly return to a relatively stable level of happiness despite major positive or negative events or life changes. Hedonism on the other hand is the pursuit of pleasure; sensual self-indulgence. Jesus H Christ. You people drive me nuts.

@froggtongue I think it involves the right amount of stress to challenge us but not so much it overwhelms us. Relationships are really important too.
@irishmolly72 so in some ways it's a good thing because it can make us strive for more and better. Just too bad we're never satisfied.
