What would YOU do if you found a flash drive laying around?

lol I recently found one and it was full of stuff that was so wild I figured I should throw it away instead of giving it to whoever it belongs to because they would die of embarrassment lol

I read that some viruses transmit that way, the people drop them around the city and hope someone plugs them in, then they can access your computer.

Eh, plugging in random flash drives is kind of risky. Maybe just advertise it as found and have the person claiming it's theirs describe it to you?

Find out who owns it then download a ton of freaky and disturbing porn and then give it back to em 😉

God only knows what could be in one of those that I don't want to know.

I put it in my pocket. Ask each person I'm aware walks where I found it. Tell them to describe it by brand description and capacity. I would never violate someones privacy by opening the data. I'm sure to tell them that when I return it. A person could get into some problems by looking through one.

It's happened twice already. One belonged to an engineer friend of mine and he could have lost his job over it. There were project plans on it. Needless to say he was elated. lol

I've done that a time or 2 and was very happy that someone returned it to me. These days I leave my change purse sitting on the desk (I use library computers) to remind me to take it and have a return address sticker on it.
