Guess what everyone? I have some sad news.

I love ice cream but don't think I can eat it anymore, because for whatever reason, it just makes my tummy angry. Oh well.

I totally understand. Lactose intolerance can be “persnickety”. I’ve gone for years able to have a scoop of ice cream now and then without incident, then suddenly it’s “oops, not [b]this[/b] time”. Yogurt doesn’t bother my stomach for some reason, and nowadays there are non-dairy options that are actually pretty decent.

@bijouxbroussard I was telling a couple of other commenters, that I don't really have issues with other dairy products at the moment. It's mainly just ice cream and may have to do with my IBS. Someone did just recommend Lactaid pills, which I think that I will try.
@Rose0415 Yes, those pills are helpful. I don’t have a problem with all dairy, either. I can eat yogurt, cottage cheese and cheese with no trouble, and when I drink milk it’s generally fat-free. When I do have problems, it also tends to be with ice cream.
