No. Even if they make a vaccine it will take months to convince people to even try it. And even then there might not be enough people taking it to achieve herd immunity. And then the vaccines themselves may cause problems. Two of them have been put on hold over lingering side effects. Then we could screw around long enough for it to mutate and we have to start all over again. I believe in our sheer ineptitude in dealing with this.

I mean the next virus is already mutating

If they distribute vaccines soon then we just might be back to semi normal by late 2021.

Hopefully....but no guarantees.

Best you can hope for is a drop in the infection rate.
You can’t keep hoping that something changes if you keep doing the things you know are causing it to spread.
