Have you ever driven in a nasty snowstorm?

I've driven in so many here in the Chicago area in my 18 years of driving, that it's really no big deal for me 😂.

The worst was when my son and I drove from the Twin Cities back to Milwaukee. The entire front grill of my car iced over and my engine started to overheat a bit.

This is the picture I took after driving for three hours. It was a coat of ice you couldn’t chip off.

It was really odd because clearly there was ice conditions. Two wheel drive cars had issues and many were off the road. But a lot of us had grip.

I live on the easy coast now where we really don’t have that bad of a winter. I just traded in my Prius for a CR-V and was watching “winter” car reviews.

I would have bought the Forester I’d i still lived in the Midwest. I enjoy going out on those bad snowy nights and driving. The Forester has a mode now that looked damn impressive in the deep snow.

Yeah, I ignored the weather report and drove to class because I had a paper to turn in. (this was before emailing documents was commonly accepted.) Usually took an hour but it took seven hours. Thought I might die because no visibility on the highway!
@Lucinda Seven??? Holy cow!

Lol. I've driven in plenty here in Michigan in my 13 years of driving, so it's not that big of a deal for me either.

I've ridden my motorcycle in a few. You should see the looks I got from other drivers!

Yes. In Michigan. It was a night and the highway didn't have lights. It was scary.
