6th grade, I was the new kid & the kids were the teasing sort...got under my skin. But in the end we had a camaraderie & I missed that after I went to junior high. We were all together in one class in grade school so we got to know each other well.
Summers off and fun work (coloring, hidden word puzzles, etc). I wish I could go back to that time as an adult and see if I could get a more realistic view of my teachers from an adult point of view. Meaning...I think many would be cool to hang out with.

The smell of things...freshly waxed & buffed floors, new boxes of crayons, mimeograph papers that the teacher handed out, Mrs. Butler’s Avon perfume, the wildflowers that we picked for the teachers...and that funky apple and bologna sandwich smell.

Pudding cups. Sure, that is something that I can still enjoy today, and do.. but back then... they really meant something!

Singing. We used to sing in 4th grade. I really loved that.

Literally nothing. Other than being the girl that kicked the shot out of boys who did me or my friends wrong

@butterflymind1 There were things I hated about it, too. But there were also a few good things.

I didn’t like elementary school. Most of the nuns were awful. I couldn’t have the snack (milk and graham crackers) so they gave me saltines and apple juice.
