Oh my gosh, can you believe this?

@curiosi

You DO know that climate is the personality and weather is a mood, don't you? Climate is about EXTREME weather conditions.

Indiana voted for Trump and continued ignoring of climate change. Maybe if they ignore the issue longer, it will go away. And if not, oh well. Get used to deadly summer heat resulting from "natural" fluctuations in the climate.

@windinhishair The great part is all those loving grandparents who doomed their ancestors. I hope they're forced to watch what unfolds after their demise.

@daisymay By 2100, the climate deniers of the early 21st century will be looked at the same way we look at phrenologists from the 1850s.

I have fought forrest fires for 15 yrs. (retired in 2012) In 2015, I was called out of retirement because Alaska was burning so badly. And it continues to do so. My belief is, yes, climate change happens, but, it was NOT supposed to happen for quite a while, however, man made chemicals and poison is accelerating it. The permanent-frost has melted releasing methane gas, which creates more warming, which creates more EXTREME weather patterns and on and on we go.

Here is a fire map just from today, Alaska, is in the bottom left hand corner.

Jeesh, How many predictions actually come to pass? I'd hazard a guess it is a pretty low number.
No.. go away Al Gore..
The jig is up

Yep, global warming is in full affect, folks.

yeah, and time will tell, ultimately. climate change is something that happens naturally, with or without human influence. just how much humans influence it is a point of much contention.

@pentacorn
just how much humans influence it is a point of much contention
The only people contending it are conservatives, though.
pentacorn · F
@daisymay i know. it doesn’t suit their agenda.

That will be warm.

I guess some people won't bother to read the article! 😆

@latinbutterfly It is pretty eye-opening, isn't it? The northeast is going to have 105 degree heat index days Friday and Saturday of this week. That is the kind of heat, and more, that the study is talking about. 127 degrees is dangerous to human life, because the body can't keep cool by sweating.
@windinhishair That would be even worse than the deadly heat waves of 1988 and 1995 in Chicago.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@latinbutterfly Oh yes. And you'd be having it eight times a year, on average. Those would be the good old days, when things were cool.

hmm would be good excuse for going naked. judge heat index was 127. its way to hot to wear any clothes!!! 😺
