Have you ever blown a head gasket in an engine?

This is one of the effects. Neither of these are my car, by the way, just some pictures I found 馃槄.


That's supposed to be motor oil in the pictures. Basically, antifreeze/coolant can mix with the oil creating a mixture that looks like coffee or chocolate milk. Either way, the oil can't lubricate the engine anymore and serious damage can happen if keep you driving the car with it looking like that.

Never happened to me personally, but I do tend to watch the temperature gauge like a hawk in my vehicles.

Yes a couple of times, plus through a piston though the side of the engine block
