Have you ever been relieved by the passing of a family member?

Because you're glad they're no longer suffering from the effects of compromised health? Or you're glad they're no longer able to wreak havoc on the lives of others?

Yes, after hearing her begging to die, lying semiconscious for months, at the age of 97, we were relieved when her suffering was over.
@exexec I'm so sorry.

No, none of my relatives are rich.

I felt numb when my father died but I didn’t find out until the next day.

I wouldn't say relieved but glad he isn't suffering and at rest. Yes. That is what you want for people you love. To be at peace.

Yes and it's a common feeling if you were their caregiver. Many people feel guilty for feeling relieved but its normal.

Yes when my mom died. She didn't want to live after my dad died and her having Alzheimer's didn't help. Dreadful disease. 😔
