Can you imagine what would have happened if the baby in the car Prince Philip crashed into had died?

what would he do? what would the police do? what would the public say? like jeez, this is why you don't have 97-year-old royals driving guys

People aged 17-24 are almost five times as likely to have an accident as the over 70s (on a pro rata basis). Although, I would say that over 70s get retested often and I wonder if the Duke of Edinburgh has to do that. Maybe he should!
@GlassDog I wonder what the stats are on that for over 95s
I expect he has, but who would fail the Duke of Edinburgh? 😂 but i read in one of the stories about this that about 200 over-100 year olds still have driving license

@AndrewtheAlu True. Although people get tested year on year at that age, you can still have a good day on testing, and bad at another time.

An old boss of mine refused to stop driving in his mid eighties. Even after an incident at a funeral where he drove at a coffin and hit it. :O

there’s almost no info on the other party but i think the accident was his fault and no one is talking about the fact that philip almost kyboshed 3 other people.

Did Prince Philip get breathalised ?

@revenant He did, yeah, and provided a negative reading.

Most older drivers tend to drive a lot slower and are more careful...I definitely drive slower and safer and I drive less miles, some people over 90 are slow but good drivers....you don't get retested when you are over 70, just have to apply for your next three year license ...
