WASHINGTON (The Borowitz Report)—Moving vans arrived at the White House on Wednesday to remove all traces of competence and dignity.

Working around the clock, movers started clearing out the optimism and progress that had accumulated during the past eight years.

“Once we’ve packed up that stuff, we’ll start moving out the wisdom and maturity,” one of the movers said. “The guy who’s moving in wants all of that gone.”

After the movers complete their work, a cleaning crew will come in and scrub the White House of every last speck of compassion.

Sounding kind of bitter rather than waiting to see what will actually happen.. Partisan hatred serves no one. Once the new President has done something, then I'll listen to both sides scream.

Trump is not a surprise. He has been saying hateful things and dividing the country for the 18 months since he has been running. He lied about Hilary with made up stories. He and his minions are supporting our major enemy Russia and using Russian agents to plant false news and hack the Democratic Party offices. He said he would drain the swamp but his cabinet contains the very people and views he campaigned against. He said he would make up for his lack or knowledge and experience by surrounding himself with experienced and competent people but he has selected cabinet officials who have no knowledge or experience in the areas they are supposed to head (A secretary of the Treasury who was one of the people causing our economy to collapse 10 years ago at Goldman Sachs, an education secretary who has never even been in a public school and wants to undermine public education in favor of religious schools, a labor secretary who does not support labor and wants to roll back minimum wages, an environmental protection secretary who wants to remove environmental protections to help oil, gas and mining industries, and so on. If you don't know that you are simply uninformed about these people. Many are billionaires who want to see lower taxes for themselves and their rich friends (lower taxes for business).

@curiosi: That is not true. As is obvious. If someone says horrid and hateful things and does not contribute to the issue (which was an amusing commentary and not an invitation to hateful off topic comments) I will delete them. If you disagree politely, fine. If you are abusive, I will delete you.

@Humanist321: It is obvious that we differ in our view of the world. I do not want to get into an argument on the wide range of topics you covered. However, your comment that implied if I didn't agree with you that I am simply uninformed is inaccurate. Watching the actions of the EPA over the past 20 years, it is my view that that agency is out of control and more interested in control than protection of the environment.

While I'm sure you'll disagree, it will be far more profitable in the use of time and energy to debate proposals that will be made in the coming days, weeks, and months.
