I Have Social Anxiety

We label each other, we label ourselves, we even label people that are no longer alive. Do yourself and society favor: stop with all the labeling.

The more distinctions you create, the more problems arise. Stop trying so hard to create distance and separations between groups of people. By doing so, you are only putting up barriers and layers of Mistrust.

Instead of focusing on these labels like: socialist, conservative, millennial etc... try to see people as if they were your brother or sister. See people for who they are deep down, rather than their skin color, religion, political affiliation, gender, etc... we are all humans that breathe air and bleed red. Opinions will always be different, beliefs are always going to vary, so there is no sense in trying to conform people in to 1 way of thinking. Now, having said that, we must always be careful not to let our opinions become too extreme. It is the extreme opinions that always lead us violence and war.

We also need to learn to listen, not to react, but to respond. We need to learn to accept that someone else may have a different opinion and that’s a reflection of who they are and their world. Would we truly have so much separation and labeling if it weren’t for media, memes and the ease & ability to share it with just one click?
