I Had A Scary Experience

Our new neighbor, Teddy welcomed us into the area a week ago & I have had this uneasy feeling around him, something about him made me feel like I had to keep my guard up. I always listen to my gut feelings cause 98% of the time, they’re always right. Last night confirmed I was right. Now, my step brother & I share the same room, it’s small but has a decent amount of space with 2 little windows looking into the front yard. Anyway, at around 3am, my step brother woke me up with the most frightened look on his face. I asked him what’s going on. All he did was point to the window across the room. I froze in place for what felt like a decade when I saw the neighbor staring back at us. God knows how long he was watching us but, I don’t care. I nudged my brother to get out of the room. After we both did, we locked the bedroom door behind us. I ran around the house making sure every every blind was closed, every window locked, etc. After a minute or so, my brother was calmer but, I still had my guard up. So much so that I got my BB gun handy. About 5 minutes later, he rang the bell & knocked on the door. At that point, I told my brother that I’ll stay here & he should wake up my Godfather. The neighbor knocked again 4 times in a row. I took a few deep breathes in & out to keep myself calm. My godfather came downstairs, told us to go back to our room while he handles it. He let us know it was safe to come back out. Turns out, the creep wanted some assistance ( I shit you not ) opening his ketchup bottle. My Godfather called the police anyway cause we knew that was bullshit. Needless to say, we all slept in the living room for the rest of the night.
