I Hate Political Correctness

as i watch the news about new orleans removing a statue of Robert E. Lee. I think about if the blacks are so damn offended by being reminded of slavery than i guess we need to take down the washington monument, rename dc and washington state, take down the jefferson monument, rename bethune-cookman college. at the time lets take down any monument dedicated to presidents Andrew Jackson and Grant. Andrew Jackson signed the indian removal act that sent 1000s of Cherokee Indians on a death march. Grant ordered the army to attack the plains indians including Custer. Memorials to FDR cause he ordered imprisonment Japanese Americans during ww2. just to name a few or does the things that offend blacks only matter? You cant erase history by taking down everything that reminds you of it

@lov2smile: my point is that robert E Lee did many great things besides fighting for the confederacy. he also was against secession. He would have fought for the union had virginia not seceeded.

I tend to be more antagonistic when it comes to politically correct.

If political correctness tells me not to do it.....I do it to antagonize them.

@lov2smile: same here you know people tend to forget that racism can go both ways. and i find nonwhites can be just as if not more racist than whites. another ironic thing is all these gays that sue christians for not wanting to bake cakes for their weddings that they should have to serve all customers. well i guess with that argument southerners could sue places that refuse to put confederate symbols on cakes, t-shirts etc.
