@MikeSp Actually, “politically correct” is the term bigots began using when their traditional targets started fighting back and they could no longer make the same old racist and sexist jokes and slams with impunity.

@Cruiser91 It's not only a matter of "this country", it's everywhere in the "free" world, i.e. the West. Imagine someone complaining about these problems in China.
We deal with typical first world luxury problems. Canada changed the hymn and so did Austria due to equal rights of genders. Here in Germany we have a "department of equal rights" whose president demanded the same. Isn't it a discrimation of the women to say "brotherly hand in hand". What about the sisters? And what about the French Revolution that is the European symbol for freeing ourselves from aristocracy and absolutism (althought that in Germany took time until 1918). Liberte, egalite, fraternite. Again: Brotherhood. France does not bother about that.
