Does the apple fall far from the tree?

Apples fall from apple trees. There is a limited radius from which they can fall. Unless the tree is on a very steep hill the apple will stay relatively close to the tree. If the hill is long the apple rolls far away from the tree.

If the apple tree is surrounded by more apple trees at the base of the hill all its apples could be mistakened for the trees in the immediate vicinity. Thus the apple would fall from the tree, but they would be mistakened with the wrong tree anyways.
