@bijouxbroussard winter is snow and slush, spring and autumn muddy, summer dusty... not so much in cities now, but the tradition remains.

@Sammykelly I have a friend who keeps clean tube socks by the door for guests who can’t go barefoot (like me) because everyone has to take off their shoes upon entry. At one party, though, a couple of people clearly hadn’t washed their feet. 🤢
