Carpet will dampen sound. Vinyl is easier to clean.

vinyl is much healthier. Carpet so full of bugs and stuff you would be amazed to see. I ripped out the carpets in the house I now live in when I moved in. It was full of creepy crawlers.

@waleskinder Very clean now. If you noticed I said when I moved in I removed all the carpet. I bet if you lifted the carpet in your place you would find the same thing. It only takes about a year for the infestation to begin. I went hardwood hardwood and vinyl plank. Very easy to keep clean and sanitary.
