Do you open your Amazon packages as soon as you receive them, or do they collect inside the front door?

There are at least four boxes sitting inside my entryway right now. I usually wait until the weekend to open them all, unless there was something I needed more urgently. 🤫

I always bring them inside as soon as I can. I get scared of people stealing them 😳

Bring them in and usually let them sit for a day or two.

Because of the virus, I give it two days before we open any packages delivered. After that, I realize I no longer need what I ordered, and then return them. Only to want them again, and thus starts the Circle of Life in A Pandemic

Cardboard boxes sit for 24 hours minimum, and the plastic envelopes have to sit for three days before I touch them. The virus dies naturally in that time.

I have only ordered a couple times from Amazon. For the most part I am an eBayer. But I do tend to open my packages immediately so that I can inspect them in case there are any defects or the product is not as described and I have to look towards returning it.

Because of the possibility of what I mentioned above it is why I have my parcel sent to a post office box. So that if there is an issue I can do the return right then and there.

i rarely receive a package which makes them quite special:)
Once they’re inside the building it’s cool because we all trust each other not to steal. If I see packages outside on the stoop, even if they’re not mine I’ll bring them indoors so no one passing by will be tempted.
@bijouxbroussard That's very kind of you. ☺
@DreamyCrush We all do that as a courtesy. 🙂
