How do people stand to live near Disney World?

So I'm at my dad's house in Florida getting ready to go to bed, and I just start hearing all these loud booms that just keep going and going. It's not thunder, and it's not gunfire or cannons. It turns out it's the various fireworks shows at Disney World. You can hear them still, all the way out here, and it's like a half hour drive on highway to get there from here. That sound travels far.

How do these people live like this, with fireworks booms every night for like 30 minutes? You can't even see them from here.
You should see The Florida Project. It’s about these poor people who live near Disney World, and centers on a gang of little kids and how they have fun anyway. Willem Dafoe plays an apartment manager but the rest of the cast are unknowns. It’s one of the better films I’ve seen recently.

And how they deal with the traffic? Once a year we usually end up going from the Atlantic to Gulf sides of FL, and if we go down 4 Orlando is always terrible.

@monte3 I was particularly dumb on the way down and picked a flight that landed at peak rush hour. Traffic was bad.
I used to live near a train. And that thing would blow its whistle right in front of my house. I got somewhat used to it after 10 years. But I was so glad to move away from it.

"and the bombs bursting in air" .... a deaf ear develops in time and the brain stops registering the minor noise.

You get so used to it, you’d prefer some kind of noise.
