There was a ban on assault weapons that didn't get renewed thanks to republicans, yet now it's easier to get an assault style weapon than a hand gun or even a beer... for 18 year olds. In some states you can't own a handgun until 21.. but you can own the most popular gun that has been used in nearly every school shooting.

Surely a little gun control wouldn't be all that bad.
