If you want to get to the root of the matter lets do it this way. You say America is not an idea, that there is not a collection of political, social, philosophic and religious worldview that constitute an Idea of what America means to Americans.
I say there is, I say there are very specific ideas and issues that make up a uniquely American mind.

So if we want to settle this, and I'm happy to if you are, then you put forward your argument as to why america is a geographic location nothing more, and I will put forward my argument as to why Americanism is a not a place but a way of looking at the world and ones place in it, Ok?

@xCoinx You’re close but not on the mark. America IS defined by political, social, religious, and philosophical ideas. But the reason I say America isn’t an idea is because those ideas exist in other places too. They’re not strictly American. So it seems to me that America isn’t reallyso much an idea as it is there are ideas that are American.
