The vast majority of ordinary Americans believe the Federal government should have absolutely no role in healthcare.

"Currently, 60% of Americans say the government should be responsible for ensuring health care coverage for all Americans, compared with 38% who say this should not be the government’s responsibility."

My personal opinion is that the Federal Government is involved in healthcare in the wrong way. Instead of practicing preventative medicine as is done in other countries that provide universal healthcare, our current government programs instead operate on medicating illness.

It's interesting to note that Big Pharma is investing more money in political campaigns than ever before. Government entities that provide healthcare are not allowed to negotiate drug prices. So long as this is the case, and we are not practicing preventative medicine, the cost of healthcare will continue to be ridicules.

We could very easily fix the problems with Healthcare if we did a few things, as a nation. First, provide more opportunity for people to attend college with the intent of being General Practitioners. Next, all politicians receive only the same healthcare that US Citizens do, which would ensure that they create a more fair, health care system.

I will say this, it's my opinion that the current healthcare system that is in place, benefits big pharma and not the American people in the way it should. It's yet another program instituted by corrupt politicians to benefit corporations.

But to say that the vast majority of Americans believe the Federal government should have absolutely no role in healthcare is absolutely incorrect. As a matter of fact, even if we did not have in place a universal healthcare plan, Government should be more involved in ensuring that Big Pharma is not charging unfair prices for medication, nor focusing on medication as being the cure when preventative medicine would prevent illness in the first place.

Americans spend more for prescription drugs than any other nation.

We consume more pharmaceutical drugs than any other country, and yet our longevity is 26th in the world.

If our interest was to provide the very best health care system in the world, all we would have to do is benchmark against the worlds current best. Interesting enough, the top 10 countries that provide the very best healthcare systems in the world, are all Universal Healthcare plans initiated and conducted by their governments.
I wouldn't know, but I do know you will say that over and over and over again, and yet back nothing you would put forth as real or true. No facts, just all fake news, fiction, etc. You do yourself and anyone else like you a disservice.

You're just saying that because you're a liberal.
Well, you can call me whatever you might like, if it makes you feel good then you go right ahead and call me a liberal, or conservative, or whatever else you might. I learned a long time ago that people who troll like you do have nothing important to say, will not respond to real questions or real information because all they really want to do is harm Society and our Nation by spreading fake, useless and incorrect information.

President Trump said everyone should have health care even if the government has to pay for it.
USAalltheway · 31-35, M
@SimplyTracie But corporations are individuals.
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@USAalltheway There's individuals and corporations. Individuals don't provide jobs.
USAalltheway · 31-35, M
@SimplyTracie Yes they do. How else do you explain the success of trickle-down economics?

@USAalltheway you're just trying to get a conversation going. Good job, my friend.
USAalltheway · 31-35, M
@dumpstermeow So if you don't agree with someone they're automatically just trying to get a conversation going? I guess liberals aren't so tolerant after all.
dumpstermeow · 41-45, F
@USAalltheway I know nothing of liberals or their ways 🤷

I think the opposite.

The vast majority of Americans don't believe in ghosts, but how else does my television remote keep getting misplaced? Obviously people don't know what they're talking about.

Should it just be handed out like food stamps?
USAalltheway · 31-35, M
@MikefromEP Of course not. If people get sick it's their own fault.
MikefromEP · 51-55, M
@USAalltheway So if you get burned accidentally you should deal with it yourself??
USAalltheway · 31-35, M
@MikefromEP That's for the Free Market to decide.
