I never threw a highschool grad party because I knew nobody would come. I didn't have friends back then. My grandparents threw one for me though at their house at least. My whole family came.

Interesting my son remarked the other day that when all his friends at high school were gone his family were and are still there for him. . @Speedyman

Middle and high school were rough times for many.

Keep in mind that a lot of grads do things with their own families, so for that reason alone, the turnout probably would be low.

One thing I never understood was why the dropouts and flunkees were still invited to the grad ceremony.
