That's the best way to get people to use you then throw you away when they've gotten what they want. Stop it. That's not the way to make friends. Your time is worth something. You'll become angry and jaded by the time you're 30 if you continue giving away your time.

online? You don't. You need to be very careful with that. Just answer questions that interest you and you'll eventually see like minded people you can connect with.

In real life, find groups that enjoy the same thing you do. Do a search on your interests and see if there are meetups in your area. I don't know where you live but most places around the world have people who are in the same situation you are and will post their own ads locally. Find a site that will allow you to do that and create a group yourself if you can't find one that already exists. In the U.S. for example, there's a site called Meetups. On Facebook, if you type in your town name, you'll find a couple of FB communities you can join. Craigslist has an area in Communities in which people run ads looking for friends only or local events are posted. Find an event you're interested in and go.
