What video game ending really messed with you as a kid? Are there any that still freak you out to this day?

When I was a kid the video game ended when the ghosts ate pacman’s last life, or the asteroids finally hit your last ship 😂

Kingdom Hearts. Little me didn't expect there to NOT be a happy ending to a game w Disney characters in it.

I still get a bit sentimental at the ending to this day, but it was heartbreaking back when there were no other KH games/sequels to it lol

i got the third ending and chose the option to sacrifice myself to save another character. i didn't notice that it meant literally sacrificing my character and the game erased all my save data from the console :'(
