Have you struggled to relearn a game you once finished?

I'm a big Elder Scrolls fan, and I bought and started playing Oblivion in 2011, before Skyrim released I think. (I was 16)

I'm 24 now, and for the past maybe 2 years I've been trying to get my rhythm I once had, and I'm almost there (I play it in bursts), but I swear I can't understand how I just accepted it and managed to finish it, considering it was one of my first pc games and first RPGs that wasn't my brothers ff8/Pokémon/or other classic ps1/GBA game that I didn't really play all that much .
