CSGO doesn't have a cheating problem, it had a cheating pandemic

I recently made a few new accounts and used hacks in wingman mode. I made my opponents aware that I was cheating with the intention of switching them off if my opponent asked me to. My friend accompanied me on this journey and we played 50 matches - meaning I had a 100 player sample size as wingman is a 2v2 gamemode .

Out of 50 matches, I had two games where the opponents didn't have hacks themselves. That's 4 player out of 100.

That means the other 96 players I met also had hacks installed. Of those 96 people, only 18 people paid for their cheats and the rest used freeware.

In conclusion, I have too much time on my hands. And csgo is a shit game

I hate that i had to pay 3 party to play safe

@OfflineFriend tbh I've dipped out of multiplayer games altogether. I played pubg for a little bit but it got boring fast

@OfflineFriend I've heard DMC 5's very good

You're doing God's work. I'm astonished CS:GO's insane cheating problem remains a constant. I didn't encounter it as much as some others because I'm well, terrible.

@CountScrofula to be honest you probably did encounter cheaters, but not blatantly obvious ones. Some people are smart about how they cheat, but others, not so much

@Siril Yeah fair enough - also likely is that I was too bad to tell. CS:GO is a brilliant game at its core but my twitch reflexes weren't good in my 20s let alone now, lol

Yeah, that's unfortunate.
I never got into CS:GO, but I played TF2 a lot a while back and I remember it having cheating issues from time to time. But I think people cared less because it was TF2. CS:GO has this whole competitive scene...

@DDonde yeah. Csgo is just a breeding ground of hacking and whatnot. I'm not even sure why seeing as the ban system is a combination of a deep learning algorithm and community reviewed player reports. People shouldn't be able to get away with it and they do. In fact, all the accounts I used to test this are still unbanned despite me using other alt accounts to spam report them

@Siril IIRC Valve does not ban cheaters right away. They do it unpredictably so that cheaters have a harder time designing cheats that don't get caught.
This is just based off what I remember, it could be wrong.
