Why is it that merchants in video games tend to be literally the worst businessmen that have ever lived?

Meanwhile you're earning millions selling them shit in exchange for good quality items.

not in Heroes 3 of Might and Magic , the Artifact dealers are like Pawn shops that don't know you , you're lucky to get 10 % of an items worth on return used or not

@AcidBurn They do fuck all to appeal to their market.

They either have shit that isn't good enough for the player and/or characters on equal footing.

Or stuff that the everyman could never even imagine affording even if he saved money for his entire life.
