Mistakes are a part of life.. You live, you learn, then you die.. That's life and that's all there truly is to it. Yeah, there are happy parts in there too, but happy doesn't last long. Or is that just for me?
Mistakes define us... It defines all of us. As for the happy part not lasting long I'm there with you. But I have been taught (I'm still trying to apply this myself) that the secret to happiness is finding a way to smile whether you're at the highest peak or in the darkest valley.
@toysoldier: it's difficult for me also. Just keep your chin up when in those valleys. No matter how messed up and confusing those dark dips are, somehow we always find out way out :)
Most of life is mundane, so many cannot be with the mundane side when it is around 98%. (Cleaning/finance/shopping/work) Then transform the mundane, that is how you are being in each moment. Then your mind is the key, if you dwell and mull over your mistakes, then you keep them in the forefront, not the past where they belong. To be complete with the choices that you have made, be it, if they worked out or not. To be complete..... Happy is a state of mind, it has nothing to do with your outside world (Money/home/car)
Your thoughts can make or break you. Then know that they are not always the truth. We can trap us in our mind and miss out. That is why meditation is GOLD, you get to see how much your mind thoughts, that internal jibber jabber, the worry, the fear, when they are still, then you are free to see the real and not imagined, what may or may not occur. Peace!
