I Am Inspired By The Art And Writing Of Kahlil Gibran

“Out of suffering have emerged the strongest souls; the most massive characters are seared with scars.” Kahlil Gibran

Pain will change you, either it will debilitate you or make you stronger. For those willing to face their fears and pull courage out from deep within it will refine us and purify us.

We think that the point is to pass the test or overcome the problem, but the truth is that things don’t really get solved. They come together and they fall apart. Then they come together again and fall apart again. It’s a cycle. (Ecclesiastes 3:1 There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens:) The healing comes from letting there be room for all of this to happen: room for grief, for relief, for misery, for joy.” Letting there be room is allowing life to unfold.

There’s a lesser known Hindu deity named Akhilandeshvari, or The Goddess of Never Not Broken. This Goddess embodies the ability to come together and fall apart, over and over again. She is the personification of healthy annihilation. She breaks apart in order to come back together as a more powerful version of herself. It is exactly because she is able to break apart that she is so powerful.

“In all chaos, there is a cosmos, in all disorder a secret order” Carl Jung

Jung coined the phrase "shadow self" Jung stated the shadow to be the unknown dark side of the personality. We don't generally recognize this side of our self, it takes falling apart to discover the shadow, because that’s when we’re the most vulnerable. We fall apart, and we come back together again, more resilient and flexible than we were before. We have seen our shadow side and are now able to keep it under control rather than unknowingly unleashing it.

True strength isn’t wholeness but the ability to adapt to the change that comes from falling apart and coming back together again, from wholeness to brokenness and back. This is being born again, transforming pain into strength.

Any fool can run toward the light. It takes a master with courage to turn and face the darkness and shine his own light there.

@Zonuss The journey is solo, but others may walk it with us. Writing is therapeutic, Its a good way to get it out there without continually bringing it up.
