I Like the Sound of Rain

Last night we had the perfect rain storm. About 3:30 AM my apartment rumbled from the thunder outside. I woke and looked out the window and above the city lights was a wonderful lightning display and the rain was hitting my windows making a wonderful sound. I got up and went to the living room where I have a better view and sprawled out on the couch with my cat and we watched the storm outside and at some point the sound of the rain put me back to sleep. I woke up in the morning with my alarm sounding from my bed room so refreshed it was amazing. Too bad every night I cannot be lulled to sleep by such a wonderful and amazing display of nature. Just love it!
