I Am a Caregiver

My great grandmother asked me how many kids I’m gonna have. I laughed and said none. She told me she’d like to have some grandkids someday and that it’s too bad she only had one daughter that won’t give her any.
This turned from funny to really sad, she has 7 daughters, 1 son, 20 something grandkids and 10+ great grandkids.

So I told her I’m her great-granddaughter. She just kind of said ‘oh’. And then she looked really sad.
