I never shied away from this music, and "Rust In Peace" was great. "Peace Sells" was one of my favorites, and surprisingly, my cat at the time liked it too.:) I was , am, and likely always will be into a lot of different music. I remember listening to these bands that you've mentioned, although I never had any of their records in my collection. I guess I was a little over easy as opposed to hard boiled when it cam e to metal back in the day. I loved me some Maiden, Motorhead and so on and so forth. Like I said though, I never shied away from any of it. Friends of mine were into Venom, D.R.I and the lot, and I gave it a spin until my head was spinning with it.lol Loved to bang my head in those days...ah it was a soul cleansing experience.:)

@Diggler: Iron Maiden may be my favorite band of all-time its a toss between Maiden and Black Sabbath, I love putting on their albums to pump me up or to relax me after a long day

@Sarah98: You can't go wrong with The Trooper for pumping up the adrenaline. Sabbath is where it mostly all began.

I'm having flashbacks from 1987 don't forget to add Nuclear Assault and Scatterbrain somewhere on your list...there's just so many I can't pick a fav.

@FloorGenAdm: yeah so many bands, it could've easily been a top 100 lol my family are a bunch of metalheads so I've been fortunate to have been exposed to so many awesome bands

Haven't listened to some of those albums but the list looks nice! You might want to try Judas Priest, Sepultura and Slayer's albums from the 80s-90s.

@Bornrebel Judas Priest got me started into heavy metal, they're fantastic. Beneath the Remains by Sepultura is one of my favorites as is Slayer. There's just too much good stuff lol

Haha you are very right! There are so many great metal albums out there. For me, it started with Paranoid by Black Sabbath.

@Sarah98: In all actuality, while i do appreciate those artist, i have been exporing my tastes in blues and jazz and modern classical.
(I like most of anything really, ..)

@Groofydorkgerdo: I think that a really wise idea, its easy for a genre to feel stale if you listen to it constantly. Widening your interests and going back to the roots of these genres is a great way to shake things up and grow a greater appreciation for music
