Can you tell my why the hell motion blur in video games needs to exist?

@BloodlustSona: It's just there for people that can't get to 60FPS, so it doesn't look so jittery. Only a handful of games can properly do it, but most just flat out fail at it. A horrible invention for those filthy console peasants! ;-;
