fun4us2b · 56-60, M

email has never, ever, ever been a secure protocol. if you expect privacy on an unsecured protocol, you need to implement it yourself. gpg or pgp is a good start.
fun4us2b · 56-60, M
I will check that out!

@fun4us2b: they person you're emailing also needs to use it.

I never think about it. If they seized mine, they'd soon send them back with a sympathy card.

I can see the U.S..Govts. POV.
But then, 99.9% of all mail traffic is either mind numbingly dull B/S or it's spam !
It DOES worry me with regard to sensitive information though !
Information about the company you work for. Maybe a company you're trying to build !
Medical or legal messages sent for your eyes only.
To say nothing of personal PERSONAL stuff if you use it that way !
At what point does national security stop and privacy begin ?
And where's the protection against possible mis-use ?????
fun4us2b · 56-60, M
Right, exactly. If I'm planning a date with Mrs. Robinson, that's strictly my business. If I'm planning a siege on Yankee Stadium that's quite another...if I say it, the words wither into the air...if I type it, I am damned eternally?
Picklebobble · 51-55, M
@fun4us2b: Well I just think it might get to the point where people you don't know, with powers you cant imagone, might start making judgements about you that may or may not have all kinds of real world implications !
fun4us2b · 56-60, M
@Picklebobble: Exactly my worry...Best Answer!
