Does your vehicle have any interesting features?

Mine has this "infotainment" system called MyLink, a standard feature on all almost all GM cars.

Not that fancy. A phone charger and heated leather adjustable seats. I call the heated seats “butt warmers”.
iamnikki · 31-35, F
Not interesting but my car won't lock when keys are in ignition.

I've lock my keys in while car was running before, in another car. I've locked them in at gas station too.

I've also left keys in ignition before, went all the way to front door,and of course couldn't get in. Least my keys weren't locked in😬
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@iamnikki I’ve done the same and yikes.
@iamnikki Yikes. My second car (2004 Pontiac Grand Am) had the keys get stuck in the ignition once. Had to have it towed and required a new ignition switch to prevent that from happening again.

@latinbutterfly ha, that's crazy
curiosi · 61-69, F
I'm just happy to have keyless entry.
RealtaReoite · 61-69, M
Enough power, great snow tires, an amazing all wheel drive system and a friendly little warning screen that says something like "Roads may be slippery. Let's drive carefully this morning! Wheeee!!!"
@RealtaReoite Nice! 😂

Mine is a 1999, so it doesn't really have any interesting features except the lights automatically coming on at night.

SubstantialKick · 31-35, M
@swirlie Nope, Toyota Camry actually.

Hey, no rust! Very cool![/c]
saintsong · 41-45, F
My son has a 2019 GMC truck it has what you have plus a cell phone charger console and black leather with red stitching and heated seats and on star! To name a few of its features.

I love that red stitching in black leather![/c]
Travelbug · 56-60, F
Mines old now, a 2007 model, but it has cute sliding doors that get more attention than I do.

I love that sliding door feature! What a brilliant idea![/c]
Travelbug · 56-60, F
@swirlie it was a car a bit ahead of its time in that respect, but the doors do play up occasionally. But I love my car.
iamnikki · 31-35, F
@Travelbug I like that. Don't have to worry about hitting other cars with your door. That design is Moore practical

Heated seats. Heated/cooled cup holders. Nice size back up camera. Key less and remote start.
Steve42 · 56-60, M
Heated Leather seats. Head lights turn when you turn the wheel.
iamnikki · 31-35, F
@Steve42 oh cool with the lights.

If I back into my garage too quickly, the brakes will slam on automatically the moment it detects the concrete wall behind the car. The excessive speed while reversing tells the computer that the driver is obviously unaware that she is inside a garage. I like that feature actually! After all, I probably could forget that I was backing into my garage if I suddenly got distracted somewhere within that journey.[/c]
iamnikki · 31-35, F
@swirlie yikes. So I guess that's the kind that stops for you at any other time? Like on the highway and stuff. That's scary to me. Like what if it's better for you to speed up and swerve but the car breaks for you, and you get hit or something 🤔

The computer in the car uses 12 cameras between front and back. The computer determines your speed and rate of closure on the vehicle in front for example, but if you don't take evasive action on your own which the computer measures apparently as 'lateral G-force' occurring, then it assumes that you don't notice the vehicle stopping in front of you and will only apply the brakes if your closing rate on the vehicle ahead is way too fast.

If the computer senses you are at least trying to do something, it will not intervene. But if you aren't doing it fast enough to avoid a pre-determined collision prediction, the computer will stop the car for you.[/c]
@swirlie Oh my! 😵
