Am I wrong abou the assumption that a rising level of the seas would at some point flood the Grand Canyon?

If it rises for a few thousand years yeah

@Longpatrol but the start of it would be in a few years/decades?

@scooogy it would not be a few. To completely flood the Grand Canyon and I’m assuming 24/7 would require and absolutely huge volume of water which I don’t think can possible be achieved in a timeframe of less than a thousand years.

I could be wrong. I have no facts to back up what I say.

@Longpatrol yeah but by the start of it I mean sea water arriving at the Grand Canyon to start the filling process.

@Longpatrol and about the assumption: I read of an ever accelerating process of rising levels, like it would flood the Canyon faster and faster. Given the data and the volume of the Canyon I calculated 10 years.

@scooogy I’m not sure 😬

@Longpatrol I just thought I should ask because I don't know about plans of building dams or anything there.
