Is there any point in using an ad-blocker anymore?
So many sites require you to whitelist now. It's not as effective as it was in the old days.

Well I drop it to gain access for some sites
but as a rule ,I am thankful I have it
I logged on to SW on a friends laptop to check on a friend
I hated it ,
I use Opera and it has its own ad blocker ,he uses Chrome ,no blocker
I am thankful I have ad blocker plus
all around I am blessed I have my system and for ad blocker
His Laptop is new and slow as crap ,and the ads
I hated it

Use an outdated firefox browser and install it from a third-party legacy site. Click on firefox browser settings, scroll down to [i]xpinstall.signatures.required[/i], mark it as [i]false[/i], install an older version of [i]adblock[/i] and it will work just fine.

Why would advertiser pay money to be blocked.. it was inevitable that the ads came thru ..
