How many infinite loops does the universe go through?

CharlieZ · 70-79, M
Loops are made of cycles.
And cycles are "discrete" events.
So, in the terms of this question, they may be potentially counted. Or, beyond material capacity to do it, they are "numerable".
In Physics, It´s called the "Pulsating" Universe conjecture.
But, as there is not a single obsevation that validates the idea, it seems to belong to the set of philosophical mind experiments.
