How can you erase a text message from your phone or someone else's phone?

My friend has tried everything trying to figure out why my messages have been disappearing from her phone, and she is quite tech savvy. But she is a very protective and indulgent mother and would never, ever consider that her daughter could be doing it. I wouldn't dare even bring it up.

@greenmountaingal Are the messages deleted or archived? What phone is it?

@Awfullybrave I send her messages and she never gets (some of) them. I get hers--and everyone else's.

It started happening when her 12 year old daughter disobeyed her mother's iinstructions and ignored one of my arriving texts as the daughter was herself using her mother's phone to call one of her (the daughter's) friends. When her mother found out, 3 hours later, she was very upset as I had just gotten out of the hospital and she was worried about me...so she punished her daughter rather severely by taking away her phone privileges for a month (the daughter does not have her own phone); to a 12 year old girl that must've seemed like an eternity. That was a couple of months ago. That is when some of my texts started disappearing. My theory is that, out of spite, self-protection, and pre-teen rebellion, the daughter now erases inconvenient messages, and also any messages inquiring about, or attempting to discuss, the disappearing messages.

@greenmountaingal yes I believe that will work for you. I was hung up not knowing how to remove them myself for a very long time. In fact I just figured it out. 😀👍🏻
