Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox?

I'm a longtime Chrome user but a couple days ago, my browser started acting up, so I downloaded Firefox to use until I could fix the problem. I've heard that Firefox has made some pretty significant upgrades recently and sure enough, I'm finding that I like it quite a bit. Now I can't decide which I wanna use as my main browser.

I use Chrome, but it's been a few years since I used Firefox. As long as we're all in agreement that IE is trash, that's a good starting point.

I switch off between them depending on what works best. My last computer didn't like firefox much so I only used it when I had to. On this laptop Chrome is pretty fucky so I mostly use Firefox. They're both good browsers.

@BlueMetalChick I'm seriously curious about this now. I am going to take note of this and check it out.

@UndeadPrivateer You can find all ten installments of the game posted on NotDoppler as well as Kongregate. There were three spinoffs as well.

Here's the series list:
Submachine (the first game was just called "Submachine" with nothing else on it)
Submachine 2: The Lighthouse
Subbmachine 3: The Loop
Submachine 4: The Lab
Submachine 5: The Root
Submachine 6: The Edge
Submachine 7: The Core
Submachine 8: The Plan
Submachine 9: The Temple
Submachine 10: The Exit

And the three spinoffs were:
Submachine 1: The Basement (a remake of the first Submachine game but with more detail; the rooms are rearranged but the puzzled are identical)
Submachine 0: The Ancient Adventure (a fan-made tribute that was so well done, Skutnik included it in the lineup)
Submachine: FLF (a fan-made collaboration worked on by a group of people)

@BlueMetalChick Noted. Thank you kindly, definitely gonna look into 'em.

I switch back and forth between the two a lot as well. I've heard firefox is now more secure too
drymer · 56-60, M
I've used Firefox for many years, I find it's a bit "lighter" and more responsive than Chrome... but in the last few months there have been a couple of things that don't work in Firefox but work in Chrome (iPiccy and Google cloud console)...
Bushranger · 70-79, M
@drymer Interestingly, I'm finding it the other way around. Chrome seems a lot crisper on my setup. Strange how systems vary so much 😁
drymer · 56-60, M
@Bushranger True, idk why either... different websites may be optimized in ways that work better in one but not the other...
Bushranger · 70-79, M
@drymer Even just on startup, Chrome seems to do better.

Firefox had fallen behind so badly it was getting filed away with internet explorer, but for some reason firefox quantum is actually faster and more stable than Chrome. Who knew?

I've been using it for about six months now, where as I had used Chrome for a long time.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@th3r0n Same, I've been a longtime Chrome user, and Firefox seemed to be getting less and less relevant, until someone told me that they had just upgraded and the browser was working excellent now.

@SW-User People trash Safari cos it's Apple but no lie, Safari is a solid ass browser.

@BlueMetalChick apple is bae
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@SW-User I have mixed feelings about Apple and their products. I'm pissed at iPhone for started the fucking trend of removing headphones jacks. Cos once they began it, now everyone seems to be doing it.
CrustyDDingus · 36-40, M
I use multiple browsers for various purposes, but I like the one you suggested awhile back.
CrustyDDingus · 36-40, M
@BlueMetalChick I absolutely hate Opera, runs like shit. Runs like complete shit I say.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@CrustyDDingus I've never used Opera. I only know that a lot of people like it. But a lot of people like Torch, and that browser sucks balls.
CrustyDDingus · 36-40, M
@BlueMetalChick they probably need a torch held to their balls.
I'm back to Firefox for most things

Lynx or gtfo.

@SW-User Text base?
Bushranger · 70-79, M
OK, I previously said that I found Chrome to be better than Firefox. That was on Lubuntu 18.04. I've since swapped over to Debian 9.5 with the LXDE environment and, guess what? Firefox rocks!
Can I export all my bookmarks and saved pages from chrome to it?
BitterSweetPotato · 31-35, F
@PiecingBabyFaceTogether I think when you launch Firefox it will automatically ask you if you want to import all the bookmarks from chrome.
Viper · M
Firefox for one hand and chrome for the other! Problem solved!
gdon39 · 41-45, M
Firefox sucks in one way or another just like the others. I’m back to chrome
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@gdon39 LunaScape is one I like a lot too, and SeaMonkey as well.
gdon39 · 41-45, M
Thanks, I’ll check them out. @BlueMetalChick
CountScrofula · 41-45, M
Firefox surpassed Chrome when they released Quantum.

What was that, Adolf?
MethDozer · M
Whitehat aviator and Cyberfox. Midori and Maxthon in the past.
Chrome/chromium has never ran better han Firefox on any of my machines and I never cared for the look or interface of it.

If you play a bunch of web based games try using coowoon.
