Aw. My dad was always proud of his old Nokia phone. He kept it for more than 10 years. Anyway, there must be some tech savvy guys at those phone repair shops who can help you.

it the sims is showing it has data on it ,you can see that in properties for that drive
Maybe someone can open it ,,,if its showing empty it may be corrupted
I pray for you its not
I never use it as my security warns about cloud based apps
but for storing pics and such in the future that is an option
I send everything to my PC back it up on disc
I stared doing that when I deleted my ex's pics of her grandpa
he died the week after they were taken ,I felt horrible

The old ones used to store contacts on the SIM, in which case when you put it in a new phone, they'll be there; likewise for photos if you've used the sim-card for storage, hopefully.

@sometimeslonelytoo the sim card is too big to fit into my new phone

@mrmoose Even-so, I'm pretty-sure you can get card-readers that enable it to be read on another device, like a tablet or PC. Hold on...

Android or are we talking no ancient no sim card nothing?
Can you plug it into a computer and have it mount as a drive?
abe182 · 46-50, M
@mrmoose it probably has the larger size. It can be physically cut down but I would have someone with experience do it for you. Or get an old phone that has the bigger sim tray and swap it out.

@mrmoose sim card is white. SD card is black. Just making sure we are talking about the same thing.
mrmoose · 70-79, M
@abe182 we are

Are you sure they are lost ?
usually there is a tiny battery like for a hearing aid that keeps power to your memory ,but if it has died
you may have really lost them

I think they could help you at certain shops who specialise in this sort of thing. Dunno how much that costs though.

If there’s a SIM card, you can transfer it to another phone. 😕

Something similar happened to me before when I had to switch phones. I lost contact with some good friends. It really sucks when that happens. 😞 @mrmoose

Take it to bestbuy. They can usually port it all to a new phone.

@SW-User they want $100 to try
