Have you ever built your own PC?

For most of my life I've been a Mac user and I have no intention of getting rid of my MacBook Pro, but I have been gaming more and I'd love to have a decent gaming PC. I'm considering building my own, though I've heard it can be quite a PITA. Have you built a desktop PC before?

Pita bread? Yes a few. Just preselecting options and buying it as a kit to self assemble can save money if thats what youre after. Most parts are plug n play so easy. Compatability is easier these days. Start with how long you want it to last, do you want future proofing. There's tons of info out there to help!

@SW-User Thanks :) Yes, I would like it to last for several years. My last PC lasted for 6 years before it just started to show signs of age (and not very future proof).

@SW-User I'm not an expert but 6 years is future proof! Lol technology is moving so fast. Moore's Law!? Equivelent tech to your mobile phone got men on the moon!

Yes, many times. First one over twenty years ago. Easier now than it used to be. Make sure you're well informed before doing it though. Components are expensive.
Nope never. Know plenty of people who have built them.
