Help with memory card and computer?

I have been trying to transfer files from my camera to my phone thru my laptop. It has been working fine until now. Says 'error' with SD card, click to scan'. When I click to scan it says 'cant scan because windows cannot find card' or something like that. The card 'dissapears from view after a few seconds...

Those little cards get corrupted pretty quick. Chances are the card is corrupted.

@SW-User so I lose everything? I've had it years.
I"ll try and use my USB cable but that usually doesn't work.

@iamnikki There's programs online that could possibly recover it, but YMMV. I'd use the cable, personally. Or, set up a DropBox account.
