@ZenKitzune Michael Sealy is a boss! I was following one of his hour long guided meditations on anxiety and depression and by the end I as crying tears of joy.

I will look up Dr Dispenza, thank you.

@onelucasbest I can meditate quite easily.. I like absolute quiet.. I live in the country so apart from the creaking of the house in the cold there's no noise..

@Majorlatency That does make is easier I'm sure. Any advice on dealing with intrusive thoughts?
@onelucasbest Well that's difficult, you have not yet got yourself to a depth with your meditation.. Your intrusive thoughts will block you.. you may need a distraction such as soothing music, or white noise... Gotta get rid of those thoughts, else you need to focus on them, understand them and mitigate them as not important..

@SW-User That's great! I find it very difficult to meditate with some kind of music or ambient noise. My thoughts are so intrusive.
