If you bought a new microscope, what things would you want to look at first with it?

Spinner · 61-69, M
Insects have always fascinated me as a child. Nothing changes.

@Spinner Same here.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Spinner Some of them have tiny suction cups on the bottom of their legs and you can see them under the microscope.

@Jackaloftheazuresand those little things are everywhere as long as moisture is involved

@SW-User I might have to look around the flower beds for some.

I used mine to look at my own cells
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Jackaloftheazuresand Yeah I was thinking blood cells, it's a 2500X so I should be able to see them good if it focuses well.

I'd scrape the bottom of my shoe, and do a graham stain slide analysis of the bacteria on it.
I still have my microscope that I got for a present at Christmas as a teen. Approx 1969-70.
