Mine hasn’t affected my battery. It’s only 81% and I haven’t charged it for the last 2 hours. And I’ve been on it for the last 2 hours as well. The S8 that I use sometimes, battery drains 10% about every 10 minutes or so. And that one is newer.

Yep, one of the many reasons I won't upgrade my iPhone6 to it. There's too many horror stories about putting that monster onto an older phone, even though mine qualifies for the upgrade. Nope, nope, nope.
